Here is the skit that we did at the winter campout for the Adventure Princess program. I was lucky enough to be filming this instead of being the one that was at the end of the skit..

I woke up at about 5:00 to 2 guys snoring.. They were in the bunks next to me. I will in the future not only bring ear plugs.. But I will also use them. I woke everyone up so we can get to breakfast on time. If you are late you have to sing.. That is something that they don't want me to do and I don't either.. One of the guys in the other outpost that is sharing the lodge is not relaly happy with the lodge.

February 09 Adventure Princess Camping

I found out that we were going to be upgraded to being in a "lodge" instead
of just a cabin with no plumbing. We were very excited about this.. No
bundling up to go to the restrooms.. This is the second year that we have
had a lodge instead of just a cabin for the winter campout. It wasn't as
nice as the big lodge but we didn't care. There was a problem with the hot
water it smelled like sulfur.. Not a good smell so we just used. BRRRRRR
Cold water to wash our hands.. We used bottled water to brush our teeth..
Morgan and I volunteered (along with 2 other dads and daughters from our
outpost) to help out with the Friday night event. The event was to have the
outpost go and collect the 9 puzzle pieces to see the order for signing up
for events. We were supposed to sit at the council fire (it was not lit!!!)
and when an outpost came there they had to sing a song with their outpost
name in it.. We were there from 7:30 to 9:30.. We dressed warm but we were
very cold when we back to the mess hall.. At midnight was the dad's meeting.
To tell the new dads about "Purple Bertha" the witch that comes in the
middle of the night after the council fire to kiss the girls on the cheek..
That if they do see Purple Bertha not to come swinging.. When the girls
awake they have purple lip marks on their cheeks. We finally went to bed at
about 1:30.

Sunday at Camp Cheerful

After going to bed after 1:00, I was awoke in the morning by one of the girls talking.. I figured it was probably time to get up and knowing that I would have a hard time falling asleep again that I should just get up. I went out to the community campfire. I pushed the logs that rolled out of the fire back in. I was sitting there by myself for a while when someone else came and sat down.. I asked if he knew what time it was. He said probably about 6:00. After about a half hour I decided to walk to the car so I can charge my cell phone. Time on the clock is 5:24 am .. I was up before 5:00 today.. That just made me tired right there. I walked back to the fire and Phil was up. We started to scavenge for more wood.. We found a couple logs which helped keep us warm because it was in the low to mid 30's. There was ice on the windshields of some of the cars. Once it got a little bit lighter we saw that there was still firewood left from the council fire last night. So we grab a bunch of that and had a roaring fire.. At the winter camp they just had something to drink and a breakfast bar for breakfast. Here we had pancakes, bacon and sausage.. We packed up and we were home at about 11:00. I was so tired that I took a nap for a couple of hours at about 1:00..

Saturday at Camp Cheerful

Got up early this morning and went and picked up our bicycles from home.. I emailed everyone and said we would bring them if other people were going to bring them. No one responded. So at 6:15am I was back at the house with the bicycles up on top.. I asked Morgan last night which ones we should bring the tandem or singles.. She said both.. I thought what a pain in the butt. So I got back at camp, unloaded the bikes and woke up Dean so we can get theirs also.. We got back and it was breakfast time. Right after breakfast we had horse back riding for the girls. This took us over a half an hour so we missed the canoeing. We told the girls that it was all about choices, that they wanted to go bicycling when the other girls were riding horses.. We hung around the cabin until it was time to biking.. It was a short ride with a total of 6 miles. They provided lunch at the turn around point. Morgan and I rode our singles. I wish we would have ridden the tandem though. It was pretty windy and she was going really slow.. But she did it by her self so I am very proud of her. Out of the 9 daughters in the Mighty Mustangs Morgan is one of the few that can ride a bicycle without training wheels.. She was doing this last year but that is do to me loving bicycling. Dean and I was trying to teach Leah how to ride with out training wheels. I told them about a video that teaches children to ride. They say it is bad to have training wheels. I agree now that I saw how hard it was to teach her. I know if I had to do it over again I would have bought a small bicycle when she was 3 or 4 to get her to balance.. Some even use what is called a push bike. There are no pedals you sit on it and use your feet on the ground.. It is a very good way to teach balance..

Back to the campout.. We got back after the bike ride. Morgan was still upset about not going canoeing so I went and asked if they had any opening. They said right now. I asked what about later. They said right now.. So off we went, we were the only ones on the lake.. Morgan didn't think I knew how to canoe but about 10 years ago I did a 5 day canoeing trip with some friends. After canoeing we went back to camp and Morgan made a krazy kraft while waiting for the rockets to be brought to Camp. The girls picked 1 item from 5 different boxes with all different shapes and had to make something out of it and then decorate it. So the rockets arrived and Morgan and I made one. Ok, I made the rocket and Morgan and the other girls played outside. Morgan really liked shooting off the rocket. They went about 400 feet in the air. We cooked hotdogs, Hamburgers, Chicken paddies for dinner. The Torch parade and council fire are always a blast. The girls went to sleep at about 11:00. I went to sleep at 1:00
