February 6th Workout # 031-07

I made it to the gym this evening.. I did an hour of cardio between the Eliptical Trainer, ARC Trainer and 10 minutes on the track.. I found out that MB (teaches the spin class on Friday mornings)  was 88th over all on running the stairs at the Empire State Building and 15th for Women. She is 56 years old her bib number was 109.. I had 8,132 steps for the day

February 3rd Workout #030-07 Tackle The Tower

I hardly slept last night.. I was very nervous about the race today. I met some of the Omni runners this morning at the gym prior to going to the race. I was number 97. We stood in line in order of our bib numbers. I was next in line. 4.3.2.1 Go.. I started running up the stairs After the first flight it was 10 steps.. Turn.. 3 steps.. Turn.. 10 steps.. Turn.. 3 steps..Repeat as necessary.. I hit the 11th floor and I wanted to quit.. BUT I have told quite a few people that I was doing this.. So I kept going. I remember seeing the 14th floor. On the 17th floor they had people cheering us on. Saying we were ALMOST half way done.. I stopped on one floor to grab water drink, toss the cup in the garbage and continue on.. I looked up I was at 24.. I was breathing so hard that I was a little light headed.. I stopped for about 20 seconds and then I kept going.. I was doing the steps one at a time probably since the middle teens so much for training 2 at a time.. When  I looked up again I was at floor 28.. There was a big sign saying 9 more to go.. When I got to 35 there was a traffic jam.. The people in front of me would not let me pass.. I was yelling "Come on, we only have 2 more floors, lets go." I wanted this over now.. I made it they tore off the bottom part of my number and I was done.. I was breathing so hard. I look down at my heart rate monitor and it had stopped.. The monitor not my heart!!!It said 1 minute 19 seconds and 94 bpm.. AARRGGHH!!! I have no idea how long it took.. Well the Results are in. It took me 8 minutes and 4 seconds to do it.. I wish I would have done a little bit better, but this gives me a goal for next time.. Next time might be in March...

January 27th Workout #023-07

I went to the Crowne Centre this moning to do stairs. I did it 5 times and ended up with 6818 steps for the day.

Tackle the Tower.. Feb 4th..

I keep telling people that I doing the Tackle the Tower at the Galleria with 37 flights of stairs. They keep telling me that there are not that many flights. Maybe a few but not 37.. So I looked it up again and it is the Tower at Erieview which is connected to the galleria.. You will see the Galleria in the botom of the pictures. It is the glass dome.

January 20th Workout #016-07

Stairs... My legs were very sore from the sled ridding last night. Again did
I mention how much fun we had?? I did only 4 the stairs 4 times today. We
had a meeting for the bowling tomorrow with the Adventure Princess. I
painted the basement today and now my arms are sore.. Steps for the day
